NGO-Private Players Workshop

KRISHISAMRUDDHI: Convergence of Agricultural Interventions in Maharashtra, District Programme Management Team, Yavatmal had organized “NGO Private Players’ Workshop” on 29th Sept, 2011 at District Collector office, Yavatmal.
The progamme was organized in the Chairpersonship of Hon Chief Executive Officer Zillah Parishad Yavatmal Mr. Naval Kishor Ram , Hon Mr. Indrasen Titkare , Additional District Collector and Mr. K. B. Tarakase , SAO Dept. of Agriculture Yavatmal were the Special Guests.
The dignitaries on a diace were welcomed by DPMT Staff. The programme was started with the speech of Mrs. Vandana Raut DPM-CAIM Yavatmal and shared the agenda and motive of the workshop. Mr. Indrasen Titkare- Additional District Collector, Yavatmal addressed on the overall objectives of CAIM progamme. In his speech he encouraged private players to participate in Yavatmal District and particularly in Yavatmal clusters as project is started in the cluster.
With the round of introduction of the participants, Mr. Prashant Bramhankar invited Mr. Nilesh Kulkarni for the detail presentation on CAIM project. Mr. Nilesh Kulkarni explained the CAIM project in detail with focused on Sustainable Agriculture, Market Linkage, PPP Model, current status of ongoing sub-projects within the district and expectation from Private Players for successful implementation of project. Mr. Sakhare from AFPRO gave the presentation about the ongoing sub-project in Yavatmal Block. He focused on the proposed interventions and present achievements in Yavatmal cluster. He also explains the marketing arrangement for the agricultural production within the cluster.
           
Hon. Chief Executive Officer, Zillah Parishad Yavatmal Mr. Naval Kishor Ram expressed his concern about the design of CAIM project. He requested participants to involve for successful implementation the project in the district. He focused on the requirement of collaborative efforts regarding achievement of any programme He also told that Maharashtra was the most developed state amongst other state since last few decade, still percentage of BPL was very high in Maharashtra state. With help of Private Player and Govt. Dept scenario can be changed.
            Mr. Prashant Bramhankar requested to all representatives from various organizations to shair their views about the programme and their willingness and expectation from the projects.
